Sommer had a Saturday off today and she wanted to go hiking with me! She love the waterfalls, so we headed off to Kaneohe and up Waihe`e Valley.
The "trail" is really a old Board of Water Supply gravel road. It gently meanders up Waihe`e valley to the foot of the ko`olau.
About 10 minutes in there is a nice swimming hole.
Then you pass some old Board of Water Supply building, looks like an opening to one of the ko`olau water tunnels.
Soon you are rewarded with a nice view out of the valley and up toward the pali.
If it rains...there's plenty of cover.
In a few minutes...you're there! There are some major pipes at the falls to move the water out of the valley.
Really is a beautiful valley.
Lots of water.
Some flower pictures for Sommer.
Rest of the pictures:
Some great shots in there. Nice work!
